Parental Obligations

“You have a responsibility towards your children……. You have been the cause of their birth and the world recognizes them as your offspring. It is your responsibility that you teach them good manners and guide them toward the recognition and obedience of Allah. Your behaviour towards your children must be of a person who believes that a good deed shall get a suitable reward and ill treatment shall call for retribution.” Imam Sajjad (pbuh)

The most important aspect in ensuring successful learning is the tripartite relationship between Student, Parent and Teacher.

Each have constraints that are unavoidable.

  1. Often parents are either too busy or unable to impart religious knowledge to their children.
  2. Teachers have a limited time each week.
  3. Students have to reconcile different sets of values and behaviours they observe in their homes, schools, communities and what is taught at Q School.

It is with this in mind that at Q School we ask all parents to agree to ensure that the following parental obligations are carried through.
