“And proclaim that the people shall observe the Hajj. They will come to you walking or riding on various means of transportation from the farthest locations.” 22:27
In Islamic terminology hajj is embarking on a journey to the Ka’ba to perform specific rites during a specific time. The rites of Hajj are essentially Abrahamic & Muhammadi, where the Muhammadi component resumes and completes the work of Prophet Ibraheem.
In addition to worshiping aspect, hajj has social, economic and political aspects and it is the largest annual gathering of Muslims. Undertaking the hajj at least once is a duty for Muslims who are physically and financially able to make the journey
