Divine Guidance

Nabuwwa and Imama

Divine Messengers from Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad followed
by the Ma’sumeen who are the successors of Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon all of them).

CONCEPT OF NABUWWA

Divine guidance has been revealed to humankind through specially appointed messengers, or prophets. They guided humankind to reach their full potential serving as role models.

Twenty-five of these Prophets are mentioned by name in the Quran, including Prophets Adam, Nuh, Ibraheem, Musa, and Isa. The last of the Prophets is Muhammad (peace be upon all of them).

Revelation from Divinity was recorded into books or scrolls. These include:
The Scrolls given to Ibraheem
The Zabur given to Dawud
The Tawraat given to Musa
The Injeel given to Isa
The Qur’an (which is the last of the Divinely revealed books) to Muhammad.

CONCEPT OF IMAMA

The world is never devoid of guidance and in this respect the Prophet Muhammad said “I am leaving for you two precious things and if you hold on to them both, you will never go astray after me. They are the Book of Allah (The Qur’an) and my Progeny, that is my Ahlul Bayt (Sayyida Fatima and the 12 Imams). The two shall never separate from each other until they come to me by the Kawthar (in Janna).”
