46 AL HAKEEM – THE WISE

ONE WHO IS THE SOURCE OF ALL WISDOM. HE IS IN ABSOLUTE CONTROL AND HIS WISDOM IS PERFECT AND ALWAYS FOR THE BEST ALTHOUGH WE MAY NOT UNDERSTAND IT.

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ
“Whatever is in the heavens and in the earth declare the Perfection of Allah, The Absolute Owner, The Flawless, , The Incomparable , The Wise.” 62:1

We are born with freewill in a universe that follows the laws of Allah. Our freewill wants to fulfil all our wishes, yet Al Hakeem keeps testing our will in order that we can elevate ourselves.

‘Hukm’ is the ‘bit’ that fits inside a horses mouth and is controlled by the rider through reins. In the same way Al Hakeem controls His creation with His Wisdom steering them to their full potential.

The story of Prophet Yusuf (pbuh) shows the Wisdom of AL Hakeem.

It is not possible to understand the hardships he went through until we look at them after the events had occurred. In the end, Prophet Yusuf (pbuh) saved the people of Egypt from famine, attained immense success, and was reunited with his family. The dream he had in his childhood of seeing the sun, moon and stars prostrating to him (12:4) came true. He believed in the wisdom of Al Hakeem and knew that it would all connect in the future but never exactly knew how.
