T وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ
..And Indeed Allah is The Most High, The Great.” 22:62
He is above creation in every sense. When we cry out to Him in times of need, we have this intuition to look up to the sky.
سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى
“Declare the Perfection of the name of your Master, The Most High” 87:1
When this verse was revealed, the Prophet (pbuh) said it should be recited in Sujood and thus we say;
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْاعْلٰ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ
I declare the Perfection of my Master, The Most High and I praise Him
Sajda (prostration) is the position in which we are at our lowest in a position of humility. In this position with out forehead touching the earth, we become aware of our lowliness in comparison to Him being The Most High.
“Come! Raise yourself to Me! Don’t live below your potential.” Al ‘Ali is higher than anything or anyone that we can imagine.
Practical steps
1. Do wudhoo
2. Go on your musalla and switch off the phone, watch, computer..
3. Pray Salaa and recite Qur’an
4. Talk to Him in the silence imagining you are at the top of the highest mountain you can climb.
Recite YAA ‘ALI frequently to achieve success in all your endeavours.
