36 AL SHAKUR – REWARDER OF THANKFULNESS

THE ONE WHO APPRECIATES, ACKNOWLEDGES, REWARDS AND INCREASES EVEN THE SMALLEST OF EFFORTS. AL-SHAKUR ACCEPTS LITTLE AND GIVES A LOT IN EXCHANGE. HE ALSO REWARDS HIS SERVANTS FOR THANKING HIM.

“….Indeed He is The All encompassing Forgiver, The Rewarder of Thankfulness”. 35:30

His multiplication of reward is unlimited.
Linguistically Shukr means to increase.

“And when your Master announced: “If you are thankful I will increase (enhance the blessing) for you …. “14:7

All the acts of worship are in essence manifestations of gratitude to Allah.
After every salaa and after every blessing, we do the prostration of Shukr (Gratitude)
Gratitude is not only the essence of Islam; but also the key to attracting abundance, prosperity, peace, and success in one’s life.

Do not be so attached to your expectations of the future that you become ungrateful for the blessings that Allah has granted you in this present moment.

REFLECTION

…. ‘My Master! Motivate me to be grateful for Your blessing with which You have blessed me and my parents, and that I may act righteously to please You and also make my progeny righteous, Indeed I have turned to You, and am one of those who submits to You .’ 46:15

“He who is not thankful to people will not be able to be thankful to Allah” Prophet (pbuh)
Shukr (gratitude) is all about giving (sharing with others) what we are worth.
Al Shakur in gratitude gives what befits Him.
