28 AL HAKAM – THE JUDGE

HE KNOWS BEST, SEES THINGS AS THEY REALLY ARE, LOVES THE MOST AND WITH HIS WISDOM, HE IS THE MOST PERFECT OF JUDGES.

“Allah will judge between you on the day of Judgment regarding your differences” 22:69

He is the Judge, the Jury, & the Sentence. He has complete knowledge of what was, is and will be and understands the innermost thoughts of the human being. There is no judgement from ignorance nor is there a need for explanation.

“The judgement belongs to Allah alone…” 6:59
One Judge, position taken. When empty we can all apply but until then it is only He who Judges.

Al Hakam and Al Hakeem both share the same root. To be the best of judges, you must be all-wise. The word ‘Hikma’ denotes wisdom, rationality, and objectivity, i.e., knowing the essence of things as they are. A person with hikma has complete clarity. They see the action and the consequences thereafter.
Al Hakam is the judge with the most perfect judgement who no one can overturn.

REFLECTION

And were Allah to punish people ‘immediately’ for what they have committed, He would not have left a single living being on Earth. But He delays them for an appointed term. And when their time arrives, then surely Allah is Seeing of His servants. 35:45

The justice of Al Hakam is intertwined with His Mercy. Hand it over to Him and trust in His judgement.
