26 AL SAMEE’ – THE ALL HEARING

HE HEARS EVEN THAT WHICH DOESN’T MAKE AN AUDIBLE SOUND – NO SOUND ESCAPES HIM AND HE HEARS TRILLIONS OF VOICES SIMULTANEOUSLY.

وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

“And when Ibraheem and his son Ismaeel raised the foundation of the house (Ka’ba) – (they said) Our Rabb! Accept from us -Indeed You are All Hearing All Knowing” 2:127

As Samee’ is Perfect Hearing – He hears all that is said with the lips, felt by the heart and goes through the mind. No sound (audible or silent) is heard less that another though an infinite number of voices speak at the same time.

He hears even the deafening silence like the breaking of a heart.

The falling apart of a heart should make a loud noise. It should sound like a building crashing down. Not this kind of quiet – just voiceless screams of the soul and the continuous shattering of the heart.

يَا مَنْ لَا يَحْتَاجُ ِا لَي اتَّفْسِيْرِ
“O He Who does not need an explanation”
(Extract from Dua taught to Imam Sajjad by Imam Husayn on the day of ‘Ashura)
When you raise your hands in dua to speak to Him; know that He can hear your silence even when you can’t put your feelings into words .

Recite YAA SAMEE’ to be ‘heard’by others and for the fulfilment of wishes.
