90 AL MAANI’ – THE PREVENTER OF HARM

THE ONE WHO PROTECTS AND DEFENDS FROM DANGER. HE KEEPS AWAY ANYTHING THAT WILL CAUSE A DEFICIENCY IN CLOSENESS TO HIM.

“Do they have gods besides Us who will prevent harm?” 21:43

To trust that Allah will always ward off harm (looking at the big picture of the world and the hereafter).

“… it may be that you dislike something, which is good for you, and it may be that you love something, which is bad for you, and Allah knows and you do not know.” 2:216

Human beings are not able to see what is harmful and what is not. Allah always knows, and defends us in ways we do not see.  Though the reason may not be known to us, Al Maani’ keeps away from us even that which we wish to prevent us from being harmed. Whenever something is help back, something better is given.
