يَا صَاحِبَيِ السِّجْنِ أَأَرْبَابٌ مُتَفَرِّقُونَ خَيْرٌ أَمِ اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
“O my prison mates! Are different masters better, or Allah, the One, the Subduer.” 12:39
Whatever is in the world around us is actually part of Al Waahid.
لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهِ
There is no God except Allah
Allah does not want us to just declare His existence, but He wants us to begin by declaring the non existence of everything else in creation and then to believe that there is only the One Al Washed. Everyone and everything else is transient.
The simile is like looking at the waves on the ocean. All the different waves are part of one ocean.
Al Ahad is like being in the depths of the ocean where there are no waves and feeling only the oneness around you.
Recite Yaa Waahid frequently to free oneself from fear and delusions.
