اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
Allah—there is no god except Him—He is the Eternal, the Self Existing… 2:255
Al Hayy is Ever Lasting and Ever Present.
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ
“Put your trust in the Ever Living who does not die…” 25:78
All Hayy occupies a high position of all Divine Names (Asmaul Husna).
Eiman (faith) hinges on trust (tawakkul) and one can only trust One Who will always be there. The only one to rely on is Al Hayy for He is ever present.
In birth we see Al Hayy. He Who inspires all life into being.
In every aspect of the universe, there is the presence of Al Hayy. Even in that which is seemingly inanimate.
When Prophet Musa (pbuh) was commanded to strike the rock, 12 springs of water gushed out for the 12 tribes off of Israail. The flowing water is a sign of Al Hayy which comes from unseen places.
A hard heart can be seen as the rock which needs to be broken to be enlivened by All Hayy.
“Wherever water flows, life flourishes, wherever tears fall, Divine Mercy appears.” Rumi
Recite Yaa Hayy frequently for forgiveness, abundance, and a long life.
Recite Yaa Hayyul Qayyum together to make the impossible possible.
