إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
“…… Indeed Allah is watchful over you.” 4:1
He watches every action, intention, emotion, feeling and thought. Nothing escapes HIm.
يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ
“He knows the betrayal of the eyes, and what is hidden in the chest.” 40:19
A camera is limited in its recording for it can only record physical actions and sounds within its range. Al Raqeeb is limitless surveillance of both the internal and external activities of a human being.
“Worship Allah as though you see Him, and though you do not see Him, you know that He sees you.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا
….. No leaf falls without His knowing it….. 6:59
If He can watch every leaf that falls from every tree in the universe then we can be rest assured that Al Raqeeb is constantly watching over every aspect of our existence as a mother does – without judgement but gently correcting where necessary. The more precious the person, the more watchful we are to protect and nurture.
