Ramadhan 05 – Suhoor & Iftaar

SO WHAT DO YOU START AND BREAK YOUR FAST WITH?

It is highly recommended to have suhur (sehri) even if it is only a glass of water. The Prophet (pbuh) used to have dry dates and Al-Sawiq’ (a dish made from cracked wheat or barley mixed with dates and sugar)

The Prophet (pbuh) broke his fast with fresh dates  if in season, or dry dates, raisins, or something sweet. If none of these were available then he would break his fast with luke warm water.
