"Adopt in yourself the akhlaq of Allah"
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Islam is a monotheistic religion, central to which is the belief of the one God - ALLAH. In the Qur’an, Allah is the name of an essence of His 99 beautiful names and qualities. To name a few Merciful, Kind, Knowing, Clement, Wise…Whatever little information the human being can get about Allah can only be acquired through His names otherwise we have no access. His attributes are totally separate from ours and cannot be examined in comparison to our attributes.
The Asmaul Husna (A 99) are an infrastructure for human behaviour (Akhlaq). In Islam, the human being is the representative of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has said “Adopt in yourself the akhlaq of Allah” The only way to do this is to study His attributes; to be able to understand, imbibe, make them part of ourselves and manifest them. Each name of Allah is a dua in itself and has an amazing effect.
